Holy Spirit Bridge Marathon
Fall Marathon at Holy Spirit starts September 20, 2011.
Play with the same partner for 3 sets of 7 hands each,
playing against 3 different opponents
Cost is $4 per person per night,
As a donation to Holy Spirit Church.
So far we've donated over $8200 to the Church.
Prize for high each night - the cost of your play is returned to you. We keep a running total, and prize money for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall is paid on the last night.
You must commit to play for the entire Marathon, but you can arrange for substitute players on the nights you cannot be there.
We play at Holy Spirit Church, 1800 SW 150 Highway.
In upstairs meeting room.
Dates for the fall:
Sept. 20, Oct. 4 & 18, Nov. 1 & 15, and Dec. 6.
Total cost $24. We begin play at 7 p.m. and are usually done before 10 p.m.
Finishing first in the Spring Marathon were Mary Ostrander and Kathy Rolfe, second were Deb Garvick and Carol Thomas, and in 3rd were Bill and Sharlette John. Come join the fun!

Little Sisters of the Poor Bridge Marathon
Meet the 1st Friday of every month at 9:30 a.m. September through May.
Meet at Little Sisters of the Poor, James A. Reed Rd, Kansas City, MO.
Play with the same partner for 3 sets of 7 hands each,
playing against 3 different opponents.
Cost is $30 per person for the Marathon. Tax deductible as a donation to Little Sisters of the Poor.
A running total is kept and prizes are awarded on the last day.
You must commit to play for the entire Marathon, but you can arrange for substitute players on the days you cannot be there.

If you've ever taken a class from me and want more tips and more practice time or just want to meet more people to play bridge with for fun, then this is the place for you.
First Monday evening of every month, I invite you to come to my home for a short lesson followed by 2 hours of supervised play. Mingle with other players, exchange contact information as you wish, build up expertise and friendships both!
